I am excited to be teaching two classes at the Melrose Middle School begining this week!
Yoga Club Wednesdays, 2:15-3:15 and 12:15-1:15 on early release days Fourth Floor Project Room Join Joy Fay of Joy Healthy Life for this gentle yoga class geared toward middle school girls. Participants will explore gentle stretches, mindful movement, body-breath awareness and guided meditation. Stretch & Strengthen Fridays Fridays, 2:15-3:15 Fourth Floor Project Room Join Joy Fay of Joy Healthy Life for this class of strength conditioning and stretching. This class is geared toward middle school boys who would like to increase their conditioning and flexibility for sports and activities and to help unwind after a busy week. Athletes and celebrities such as Tom Brady, Kevin Garnett, Tim Thomas and many others have found that this type of conditioning helps them improve their balance and flexibility. Joy will draw from both her fitness boot camp and yoga classes balancing physical activity with stretching and breath awareness. Students just show up and sign in! Both of these programs are sponsored by the MVMMS PTO.
